Feeling pretty good! My asthma came back, so here I am on this wonderful medicine again, although (knock on wood) my blood sugar numbers are saying pretty calm for the time being. I have had some back pain, and this child of mine realllllly likes to kick weird and uncomfortable things inside of my body that gives me a nice little spook. But besides that, I really can't complain. My swelling has arrived, but in all honesty, not to bad. My toes, fingers and my calves usually take the brunt, but just by looking at me, it doesn't look horrible. I feel it more then see it.
I have gained around 30 ish pounds I go in for an appointment today, so we should see. Last Thursday, our scan told us that she weighed 4 pounds 14 ounces. She was measuring a bit small, but not concerning. The dr said that's to be expected as I was born/ still am small (5 ft 2). Ned is tall, but not a large framed guy. My amniotic fluid was a wee bit low but not concerning as, lots of things could affect that at this point. I am very thankful for my weekly scans, and how they give me piece of mind. Every time I see her, she looks so much more squished. I feel bad for both her and I at this point!
I pre-registered for the hospital this week. Answered tons of questions for her birth certificate (our race, ethnicity, education, etc). I also got a free diaper bag, so that will be a nice extra to keep in the car in case we forget something. They had me watch a video about epidurals, and took me on a tour of the ward. The baby heaters were all set up and ready to go. There was an infant in the nursery. It got me all teary eyed. I will be in that position so soon!
Ned is getting excited. It takes up most of our conversation these days. He has been such a help. Going grocery shopping with me, vacuuming, picking up, feeding the dogs at night. Just a huge help.
My dad is coming tonight. The last visitor until Juliette arrives. I am excited for some quality time. Although the start of hot season is here and man, it's going to be uncomfortable!
